I am currently a Masters student in the Department of History at Western Michigan University, focusing on 20th century United States protest, social, and LGBT movements. My thesis is exploring gay liberation and radicalism at the University of Michigan between 1968 and 1975.
I also serve as the president of the Teaching Assistants Union AFT 1729 and as a board member of the West Michigan Federation of College Educators.
Prior to pursuing my college education, I held a variety of positions in marketing, communications, public relations, and sales. The majority of my career was spent in the music industry, as both an in-house talent buyer for national bands, and the head of promotions and marketing.
